i love straight men (not like men who are straight but in the sense of comedy having a straight man)
they’re really under appreciated but I really think they’re the funniest part, a comic who can get angry and exasperated really well is hilarious, ben schwartz and jason mantzoukas do it incredibly well.
my brother was reading a book for school and the word “testicles” was in it and he circled it, and put an arrow to it and labeled it “scrote” so if anyone was confused they would know what it meant
it’s even funnier if you just think of the store packed like it’s friday evening and then the person at the desk just whispers “oldboy” and everyone goes into a frenzy
at work they were saying that oldboy was really popular and that if you mentioned it someone would rent it and i just like the idea of someone saying “oldboy” and then like 5 people rushing up the stairs to grab it

WTF is with the trend of books/movies about young white woman being surrounded by black woman taking place during the civil rights movement?
I mean, Secret Life of Bees was alright. It was problematic in some areas but it never claimed to be “the black woman’s story” and had some very interesting stuff about the black Madonna. If anything, that book is more about a girl...
